MERCY NYABUTI

Ms. Nyabuti is a highly organized administration and finance coordinator with a bachelor of commerce degree from Kenyatta University and 6 years’ experience within the human rights sector in oversees prudent financial management including fundraising, management and reporting of grant funds. Skilled in developing and managing financial strategy, she has played a crucial role in results-oriented practices within coaching and developing the capacity of grassroots Kenyan and refugee-led gender-based organizations with a track record of success in creating, implementing and managing financial processes.

Presently, Ms. Nyabuti continues to support programmatic initiatives through use of her identity as a feminist, activist, and human rights defender to advocate for the social justice of women and girls. She is very passionate about gender equality advocacy and is actively engaged in organizing and linking international and regional mechanisms for advocacy. Over the years, she has been key in providing critical support to marginalized populations in the advocacy arena including participation at high-level meetings with both state and non-state actors.
